MAC Blush in Gingerly with FOTD....It is a favorite of Kim Kardashian for a Reason!!

Hey Everyone!!

MAC Gingerly Blush Dupe

MAC Sheertone Blush in Gingerly is described as Capri Bronze on the MAC website and as the name suggests belongs to Sheertone category of blushes.

Now in general I prefer sheertone blushes since the chances of going overboard with them and end up looking like a clown are pretty less! The pigmentation of sheertone blushes are as the name suggests very sheer but buildable!

I don't remember how many times I have seen people raving about this blush and ever since Kim Kardashian mentioned she loves using this blush to warm up her cheeks it has been one of the best selling blushes from MAC! I am yet to come across a person who doesn't like this blush! To be honest I am pretty late to jump on this wagon but better late than never..right?

MAC Gingerly

MAC blushes come in standard MAC black packaging without any mirror or applicator. MAC blushes come in two forms refill and in individual cases as the one I have. Individual cases retails at 21$ where as the refill pans retails for 17$ on the MAC website. Now from price perspective I definitely prefer the refill pans but then storage is a big problem and I recently heard that MAC has increased their prices of pro palettes as well! But from travelling perspective I feel individual cases are a good option especially for a neutral blush which you know you will be wearing it a lot!

MAC Gingerly Blush

When I first saw Gingerly at the MAC counter I was like duh...this looks so dull...more like a bronzer or contouring powder! Now please ignore my thoughts since at that time I was at kindergarten level of makeup world :)

Don't go on looks...Gingerly looks meh in the pan but it is hands down one of the most natural and versatile blush I have come across. Gingerly is brown with pink undertones and looks very flattering especially on medium to tan skin tones! It also gives a beautiful contour to your cheekbones without using any bronzer or separate contour powder!

The pigmentation is very sheer so chances of going overboard are extremely less. The texture is satiny smooth and blends very well. I use my Real Techniques blush brush to apply this blush and it gives wonderful flush on the cheeks! No wonder Kim loves it so much :)

If you are in market looking for a blush which you can wear everyday or anytime go ahead and get this one right now! It goes well with smokey eyes and its perfect for office wear!

In terms of dupes it reminds me a lot of Colorbar's Just Earth and Sleek's blush in Suede :) I will post swatches of Suede and Gingerly side by side very soon for comparison but Gingerly has more pink undertones where as Suede is more brown and orange. I don't have Colorbar's Just Earth with me any longer so cannot compare it.

MAC Gingerly Blush Swatch

This is how it looks on me, please excuse my tired face we were roaming around in the mall for several hours  and I only have MAC Studio Fix Powder as my base and Gingerly on cheeks. The light has kinda washed out the blush :(

My Rating:- 4.5 out of 5

I hope the review was helpful and if you have any comments do post them below and I will get back to you as soon as possible!

Until next time, take care and stay beautiful!

Love,
