MAC Sheertone Coygirl Blush Review, Swatches, FOTD and Comparison

Hey Everyone!

MAC Coygirl Blush, Nars Matahari Dupe

Have you ever had a feeling after looking at a particular product that you have to have it! Well this was exactly what happened with this blush. While surfing around online somehow I landed on review and swatches of Coygirl, one look at this gorgeous lavender pink and I melted. Unfortunately MAC has discontinued this blush so I couldn't find it in the MAC counters. But one sweet day as I was browsing through one of my favorite sitesStrawberrynet and guess what they had this blush in stock so I immediately added it in my cart and bought this baby home! So if you want to know how this blush fared on me keep on reading!

 MAC Coygirl

MAC Coygirl belongs to one of my favorite Sheertone category which does not have extremely high pigmentation but they are buildable. Coygirl is best described as soft lavender pink but it comes out more pink on cheeks than lavender as you can see in the FOTD. I love cool toned blushes since they brighten up the face instantly! This blush I feel will suit all skin tones especially medium to olive skin tones.

The texure of the blush is silky smooth and completely matte.Its not extremely high in pigmentation but not bad too. I dab my brush couple of times in the blush to get the desired color. The texture is not powdery or buttery but does blend well on cheeks. Its not extremely soft hence does not have any fall outs. It does not get patchy on the skin even after 5 hours. The only fall back is the low staying power, it does not stay on me for more than 6 hours and after 8 hours its hardly visible.

It looks very natural on cheeks and just gives a healthy rosy flush! I love to pair it with plums and purple tones lipsticks and it compliments them very well. I wish MAC had not discontinued this blush since its a really unique and flattering shade especially for asian and indian skin tones since we have a lot of yellow undertones.
MAC Coygirl Blush

I don't own a lot of cool tone blushes but the closest to Coygirl I found was Nars Mata Hari which is my all time favorite pink and I have already reviewed it on the blog. The only difference being Nars Mata Hari is much brighter whereas Coygirl is dusty pink, both of them have cool undertones. Mata Hari is much more softer in texture and higher in pigmentation than Coygirl. You can see below how similar both look.

This is how it looks on my NC40-42 skin tone, please excuse the color has been washed out a little bit due to brightness

Pros:-

-> Flattering on all skin tones especially medium to olive skin tones
-> Satiny smooth texture
-> Good pigmentation
-> Blends easily
-> Does not get patchy or uneven
-> Brighten's up the face instantly
-> Gives natural flush to the cheeks

Cons:-
-> Not available easily since MAC has discontinued this blush
-> Staying power could have been better

Rating:- 4.2 out of 5

Price:- 1400 approx

I hate reviewing products which are either discontinued or not available easily but this is such a gorgeous shade that I had to review it..I highly recommend this shade, if you want this blush keep checking on Strawberrynet since they update their stock every now and then and I do see this one available there but it gets sold out very fast or else you can check other websites which sell authentic MAC products like ACW.

I hope the review was helpful, until next time take care and stay beautiful!

Love,
