Lakme Complexion Care Cream (CC Cream) Bronze Review, Swatches and FOTD

Hey Everyone!

So today I'll be sharing my thoughts and views on the newly launched Lakme CC Cream, I am in the shade Bronze. Lakme CC Cream retails for 250 INR for 30ml and comes in 2 shades Beige and Bronze.

I must say Lakme has been doing extremely well since last couple of years with new and improved products getting launched every few months. I confess I have not been the biggest fan of lakme products especially for face but last few products which I have tried  have definitely changed my opinion. One of the biggest concern when it comes to choosing the right base product for face is the shade, most of the foundations tend to have pink undertones which looks quite ashy on Indian skin tones if one has hyper pigmentation problem like me.

The fact that attracted me towards Lakme CC cream was the fact that both the shades in this range have very prominent yellow undertones which is perfect for most of the indian skin tones! I chose the shade Bronze which is quite peachy but works well for my skin.

Lakme CC cream comes in very attractive bright pink box packaging. Lakme has definitely done a fantastic job when it comes to packaging of this product! It contains SPF of 20 which to be honest gives hardly any protection from sun so I would not skip my sunscreen unless you are at home the whole day. The CC cream comes in squeeze tube and is very convenient, the opening on the tube is very tiny and can be easily controlled.

The texture of the CC cream is light and creamy, its not too thick or too runny. It spreads easily on the skin and gives light to medium coverage. It settles to satin matte finish which looks quite natural. It covers redness and light spots easily but if you have pigmentation or scars it won't fully cover them up. The shade Bronze has a lot of peachy undertones due to which it brighten's up the face instantly without looking unnatural or cakey. I have combination skin and I find the cream to settle into pores and dry patches ever so slightly though does not look bad. It evens out the skin tone nicely giving a very natural and polished look which I find is perfect for college or office wear. It does not make you look like wearing makeup on face and also feels quite light weight.

The staying power I would say it lasts to around 8 hours on me however it does break down on my T zone which typically gets oily after 2 to 3 hours depending upon the humidity level. I usually use a tissue to blot my face and with this cream I have to blot my T zone for atleast twice. I feel this will suit oil to combination skins pretty well however dry skinned beauties can make it work using a proper moisturizer beneath. It does transfer on clothes and tissues so one has to be careful with it.

The shade Bronze will suit quite a lot of skin tones ranging from medium to dusky skin tones. I believe it will suit NC35 to NC45 skin tones easily because of such strong yellow/peach undertones.

The CC cream has very sweet smell which I absolutely hate! Its way too sweet smell and even though it fades away in few minutes I wish Lakme would come out fragrance free products atleast when it comes to face products.

This is how the shade Bronze looks on my NC40-42 skin tone

Round - Up

Pros:-
-> Very attractive and convenient packaging
-> Both the shades Beige and Bronze has yellow/peach undertones
-> Light weight
-> Spreads easily on the skin
-> Covers redness and light spots
-> Even's out the skin tone
-> Brighten's the face
-> Light to medium coverage
-> Gives soft matte finish
-> Lasts for about 8 hours
-> Cheap
-> Available across all Lakme counters/Pharmacies and Online

Cons:-
-> It does cling to pores and dry patches lightly
-> Makes skin oily after 2 to 3 hours
-> Has strong sweet fragrance
-> Limited shades

Rating: 4 out of 5

Price: 250 for 30ml

Overall its a good product especially for college students who are on a budget or if you want light to coverage something which you can wear to office daily and get a natural polished look. I hope Lakme comes out with even more shades to cater more Indian skin tones.

I hope the review was helpful, until next time take care and stay beautiful

Love
Parita
